For clients of makeup artists using MUA Studio
Last updated: May 15, 2026
This page explains, in plain language, how client information may be handled when your makeup artist uses MUA Studio to manage bookings, intake forms, invoices, payments, and appointment preparation.
Your makeup artist decides what information they collect from you, why they need it, and how long they keep it. In privacy terms, your artist is usually the data controller for the client record they maintain in MUA Studio.
MUA Studio provides the software that stores, organizes, and sends information for that artist. We process client information on the artist's behalf so the Service can support appointments, client communication, payment links, documents, and business records.
The exact details depend on what your artist asks for and which features they use. Client information may include:
Your client information stays within your makeup artist's MUA Studio account. Other MUA Studio users cannot browse or search your client record.
MUA Studio team access is limited to what is necessary to operate the Service, provide support, investigate security issues, comply with law, or help with a request from the artist who controls the record.
Client information is used to support the services your artist provides, such as preparing for appointments, managing bookings, sending reminders, creating invoices, processing supported payments, sharing contracts, and keeping business records.
We do not sell client information. We do not use client records for advertising profiles. We do not share one artist's client list with another artist.
If your artist uses optional features, necessary details may be sent to trusted service providers. For example, payment details may be handled by Stripe, emails may be sent through an email delivery provider, messages may be delivered through WhatsApp if enabled by the artist, and contracts may be handled through an e-signature provider.
Payment card and bank details are collected by the payment provider, not by MUA Studio.
MUA Studio uses encryption in transit, secure hosting, and account-level access controls to protect client information. No online service can promise perfect security, but we design the Service around clear account boundaries and limited access.
Client records are kept for as long as your artist maintains them or needs them for their business. When an artist deletes a client record or closes their account, we delete the related client information according to our Privacy Policy, except where limited retention is required for legal, tax, security, or dispute reasons.
If you want to see, correct, export, or delete information your artist stores about you, start by contacting your artist. They control the client record and can make changes directly in MUA Studio.
If you cannot reach your artist, or if your request is about MUA Studio's own handling of client information, email privacy@muastudio.co. We may need to verify your identity and coordinate with the artist who controls the record before taking action.
This page is a client-focused overview. The full legal details are in the MUA Studio Privacy Policy.
